It has been very wet here in Devon the last couple of days which has been a bit of a shock compared to the dry few weeks previous. Now it's back to the noisy tumble dryer :(
Ideal crafting weather though!
I made this card yesterday:
I used 'Candy Shop' sweet stamp from Creative Expressions and punched out the circles then covered them in cling film (to act as a wrapper). The jar die and stamp is by Whimsy Stamps and the sentiment is Pink Petticoat. The sweet shop awning is a Tim Holtz rosette die and the pink window frame was free with a magazine. Oh yes I also used acetate for the jar.
I was going to cover the sweets in my lovely Glossy Accents but decided it would take too long to dry so cling film was used instead!
So if you haven't dropped off with boredom that's it!
Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by

Ooohhh this is such a fun card Eve, brilliant use of cling film too! Thank you so much for joining us at Allsorts this week for our Photo Inspiration challenge x
ReplyDeleteHow very clever Eve! A super card and great use of the cling film - plus even a little, tiny, teeny snippet is always absolutely fine for the Playground :)
ReplyDeleteBeen looking back through your blog and you do make some gorgeous cards - some clever ideas too. Did you know that Jules (Always with a heart) actually started off the snippets playground and ran it for the first year before I got 'the keys' in January 2012. I think she was much more disciplined than me 'cos we never had mischief making back then :)

This is brilliant! Fab card.. just so creative! Thank you for joining us in the "Anything Goes" challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Eve
ReplyDeleteI could never get bored looking at your gorgeous cards.
Love how you have tied the sentiment around the neck of the jar!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog about my Son's music. He will love reading what everyone has written .. .. and "yes please" could I have the chutney recipe .. .. just in case I run out of space to freeze all the produce hubby is supplying!!!
Have a good day.
Love Jules xx
Wow - this is fabulous. Great idea.

Hello Eve,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment about my cards.
I bought the Sugar Nellie stamp from 'Funky Kits'. It was a set of six stamps called 'Return to Fairy Glen'. This is the link http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2179
