Hi there all.
Happy Friday to you!
The reason for my blog title- are you sitting comfortably?!
I first saw today's stamp on the lovely Jules' blog a LONG time ago and knew that I had to have it! But you would not believe the trouble that I have gone to to get it. As it is out of production now I first tried to search the craft shops in the U.K - with no luck. Then finally I saw one and ordered it to be told that it was out of stock ( a bit naughty still advertising it ) so the search continued. Eventually I decided enough was enough and purchased one from a craft shop in wait for it .........Australia!!!!
Well it was for my birthday so I treated myself, the only downside was that I had to pay £12.75 customs/postal charges - eek!
Oh well I have it now and love it:
I just know that I will be using it a lot as you can use up all those snippets of paper with it. I also think that I'd better get my money's worth!
Items used:
Penny Black 'Whispers 3377K'
Tonic papers
ProMarkers
Stickles
Pink Petticoat sentiment
Ribbon, button and twine from stash
So that's the end of my story, am I the only one who has gone to these lengths to have a stamp??!
and if there is anyone out there who has got one of these stamps for sale I'd prefer if you keep this information to yourself!! LOL!
I hope that you have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog today --TTFN.

Hi Eve
ReplyDeleteYou should have said .. .. you could have had mine .. .. ONLY JOKING!!!
I promise your stamp will be worth its weight in gold. I use mine so much it is unbelievable .. .. and it looks different every time!
I love how you have used it here. Beautiful colours and layout and what a fabby ribbon.
I hope you are fighting fit now .. .. I spirited a bit of my energy your way especially. I am sure there is something wrong with me as I am just hyper all the time and that is without food colouring LOL!!
How much birthday money did you get?!?!?!!?
Have a good weekend.
Love Jules xx
Oh Eve, I did grin at your quest for that fabulous stamp! The closest I came to that was buying Couture Creations 'discontinued' embossing folder called 'Tied Together' on eBay for silly money. Not long after I found a really similar one made by Crafts-Too called 'Lattice'. And then, to make matters worse, Couture Creations revived the 'Tied Together' folder and they're as easy as pie to find - sigh :(
ReplyDeleteHaving said all that, I can't see that PB do re-issue stamps so it was a good investment (repeat that three times, slowly) - and what a stunner of a card too! The stamp really IS perfect for paper piecing and am sure you'll get your money's worth.
Hugs, Di xx
Beautiful card Eve. Love the paperpieced flowers so pretty. Thanks so much for joining us at Sketch Saturday! ~Deb
ReplyDeleteThat Jules really has a lot to answer for you know. Not only did she admit to blowing up my bloomers but she had another P.B. stamp on her blog that I just had to have. I got it from America. The knitting chickens 'Spinning a Yarn'). Speaking of chickens I see you have some ,did you know that Miss Di and I have 2 of Hettie's chooks named after us. Where famous don't you know!
ReplyDeleteLove this stamp too and love that paper pieced paper as well. Hugs Mrs A.
p.s. I'll give 1p for it!!!!!
HI Jules
ReplyDeleteI'm in Australia and can't find one.
Which shop had one? Did they have a spare???
Knowing how desperate I need this stamp, I hope you can help
Thanks
Celeste
