Stampin Up Peaceful Garden Christmas Card

Today's card is made using the beautiful STAMPIN UP PEACEFUL GARDEN DSP again:

I also used the TRADTIONAL LABELS BUNDLE again for the 'Merry' (which I heat embossed with silver embossing powder) and the labels dies. The 'Christmas' die is from a retired set called Peaceful Season which I fussy cut around the edges to create another layer.
You may notice that my sewing machine stitch around the edges is incredibly straight and I honestly thought my wonky stitching was saved due to this little magnetic gadget that attaches to my sewing machine:

The only problem being that it can't be adjusted any further in because it buts up to the edge of the foot of the sewing machine. So I have straight sewing edges just not close enough to the edges of the paper, but I suppose you can't win them all!! Back to the drawing board of practicing sewing straight lines! - edited to say that I have sewn another card using this gadget and matted another layer so that the stitching is closer to my image - Yay! problem solved 😊

challenges:

As I used a couple of snippets of paper (the glitter card is retired SU):

I would like to enter Pixies snippets playground. where you must use a snippet of paper/card
as you like it challenge -favourite-ribbon-or-twine-and-why.? even though I have used both ribbon and twine on my card I much prefer ribbon as it seems more elegant. Also to me it looks better on female cards which I tend to make more of.

House Mouse Halloween card

Hi there and happy Saturday!  I have a House Mouse card today:

I printed the image, sentiment and background paper from the House Mouse triple cd (I think!).
I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine, added some ribbon and some green  STAMPIN UP DEAR DOTS - job done!

Stampin Up! Beautiful Gallery DSP

Here is my first card using Stampin Up! Beautiful Gallery DSP:

After mounting the beautiful image (which is one of many in that pack) onto gold foil sheet I used some Metallic texture RUB-ONS to create  foil/embossed splatters. The greeting was from the very handy Greetings for all mix & match Ephemera pack. The lovely domed brads are the streaked-dots and that's it a very quick and simple get well card to hopefully brighten someone's day!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

as you like it challenge favourite-square-or-not-and-why? this is very easy for me as I always make square cards as it makes the card seem more equal. There also seems more space on a square card to embellish it (with everything but the kitchen sink usually in my case!! 😂).
creative inspirations.- autumn or something spooky - if my card isn't autumnal enough please delete me!

thanks for stopping by!
