Stampin Up Peaceful Garden Christmas Card

Today's card is made using the beautiful STAMPIN UP PEACEFUL GARDEN DSP again:

I also used the TRADTIONAL LABELS BUNDLE again for the 'Merry' (which I heat embossed with silver embossing powder) and the labels dies. The 'Christmas' die is from a retired set called Peaceful Season which I fussy cut around the edges to create another layer.
You may notice that my sewing machine stitch around the edges is incredibly straight and I honestly thought my wonky stitching was saved due to this little magnetic gadget that attaches to my sewing machine:

The only problem being that it can't be adjusted any further in because it buts up to the edge of the foot of the sewing machine. So I have straight sewing edges just not close enough to the edges of the paper, but I suppose you can't win them all!! Back to the drawing board of practicing sewing straight lines! - edited to say that I have sewn another card using this gadget and matted another layer so that the stitching is closer to my image - Yay! problem solved 😊

challenges:

As I used a couple of snippets of paper (the glitter card is retired SU):

I would like to enter Pixies snippets playground. where you must use a snippet of paper/card
as you like it challenge -favourite-ribbon-or-twine-and-why.? even though I have used both ribbon and twine on my card I much prefer ribbon as it seems more elegant. Also to me it looks better on female cards which I tend to make more of.

thanks for visiting!

  5. Hi Eve
What a great card, the silver against that gorgeous design paper looks super scrummy.
I have never heard of your magnetic gadget before .. .. a good find.
Hope you have had a good weekend and enjoyed your extra hour.
Thanks for asking after Mum. Things are still not good. The paramedics have been out twice this week and yesterday she refused to go to hospital .. .. so people came out and did tests and scans on her at home. We will see where we go from here.
She certainly keeps me on my toes.
    Love and hugs
