Very sad news :(

You may remember a while ago that I had to take one of my chickens to the vets. We tried injections and 2 lots of antibiotics - well, she went down hill and I had to take her back to the vets yesterday to have her put to sleep.Sob, sob. I know it's only a chicken but I have looked after her for nearly two years and she is more like a pet to me. Very sad.
Well I do know that she was cared for and pampered!

Tonight's cards are Paper Smooches stamps again  - sorry!

Which one do you like the best?

Happy Birthday Nan

Good evening!

I made tonight's card for my nan's birthday. It is officially on the 29th February but as there won't be one this year SOME of the family (she has 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild) took her out for lunch today. It was jolly nice! I had roast pork followed by creme brulee - Mmmmmmm!

So here it is

I used Hobby Art : Anna's Collection stamps with a jelly roll sakura pen to highlight detail. This isn't the best picture as it was the only one that would load GRRRhh!  Isn't that frustrating! I think my computer is protesting and is on a go slow.

My nan will be 93 and she looks fabulous!

Cake & Craft - Bliss!

Hi there.

I had the most lovely day yesterday - a trip to Newton Abbot. Lunch at the Pharmacy Cafe ( followed by gorgeous white chocolate cake YUM! ) and then across the road to the Craft Room. It is like Aladdin's Cave -  a never ending craft heaven! I could have stayed all day and camped over night!
I bought a few goodies, well it would have been rude not to! You will see them on my future cards.

Today's cards are a bit of a cheat as I made them a while ago, if that is cheating?
I used Papermania stamps - Birdsong and Hobby Art- Floral Delight stamp. Distress inks - Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord.

I also used some sparkly embossing powder.

I am going now to have a private moment with my new craft purchases! Ooohhhh !!

Blooming marvelous!

Good evening!

You might need to sit down as I am actually quite pleased with today's card - shock-horror!

First I stamped a sunflower (Hobby Art) with versa mark, then I chalked it. I used Lili of the Valley stamp and sentiment and coloured it with Pro markers. The Fishtail Flags Stax die and the Sunflower die are from Dies to die for and I would like to enter it into their February challenge at  http://www.cuteycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/    The theme is Flower Power and you could win £25 voucher - Whoopeeee!

Made with love

What another beautiful day today, is spring on it's way?

Molly blooms is baking cupcakes today! With Great Impressions background stamp and Hero Arts sentiment. A dot or two of Glossy Accents and -

Ta da!    I shouldn't have put the heart punch on there but there has got to be something that I'm not happy with!

Question:  Should you reply to a comment on your own blog?  I think I need a book on blog etiquette!!
I have only just got the hang of entering a competition with the relevant blog post rather than my whole blog. All this no back posting and linking is very confusing for a newbie!

P.S If you follow this link    http://is.gd/C5IwaS   it takes you to Crafty Devils papercraft competition to win new Tonic Pick of the Bunch punches and Stamp sets - Wuhhoooo!
(I bought the Molly Blooms stamp from there)

I would like to enter this into this weeks Ribbon Girls Challenge at   http://www.ribbongirls.blogspot.co.uk/  The theme is aqua or turquoise and the prize is a voucher for Lili of the Valley and a  Ribbon girl voucher - Fabbie!  I must be psychic as I made this card before seeing the blog!

Jar of heart's

Happy Valentines day!

A very late post today as I had to take one of my chickens to the vets! Two injections and some antibiotics - hopefully that will do the trick.

This card took longer than I expected. But hey-ho! It kept me quiet for a while.

I used Whimsy Stamps jar die from dies to die for and Simon Says Stamps die for the sentiment.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Happy birthday Dad in law

This is a birthday card for my father in law. It looks just like him!
It is also the first card that I'm going to enter for an on line competition - The DigiStamp Boutique.-  http://digistampboutique.blogspot.co.uk/p/document.html

I tried to add a watermark using photo shop but it took so long to upload and then failed.  Oh well I don't think that anyone would want to copy it anyway!

Please ignore the splodge by his right ear which I meant to correct!

Not happy with this white paper either as pro markers look a bit patchy. I'm a very harsh self critic!

I hope to post something that I'm actually happy with soon!

I'm still having problems knowing when to step away from the card!
I just think this card is a bit of a boring surprise. I wonder what it's missing?

Any help would be most welcome.

To the lovely Jules!

I would like to dedicate this card to the lovely, kind, talented and crafting guru that is Jules from  http://jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.co.uk/  . At Christmas I was lucky enough to win her 'guess the penny black stamp competition' . Which is so unlike me as I never win anything. She gave me advice on starting my blog - Thank you Jules!
Here is a card I made with my winning stash:

Amongst the winning goodies was a voucher for the 'Pink Petticoat' - Thank you Liz!
I have also had advice on blogs from Michelle at 'The Card Grotto'  ( I haven't asked their permission to add their links ) I am sure everyone knows what legends they all are!
I know it sounds like I am excepting an award but I just wanted to say Thanks!
Craft blogland is a very nice place to be.

Let's go fly a kite

Here is a card that I made using a Sizzix stamp and die set, except that I only stamped 'dream'!
I am trying to make some 'clean and simple' cards but I always think that something is missing. I think that my blog should be covered in 'L' plates!

With today's strong wind I think that my kite would be very tangled!
