Good morning all.
Best not mention the weather today as it is not nice. Food shopping in a bit then crafty time. Is it me or does food shopping get more boring every week? I do try to cook most meals from scratch but isn't it just so nice just to bung things in the oven!
Anyway enough moaning! Here's today's card:
Items used:
Hobby House topper 'Hopeful', Stampin Up sentiment stamp and punch, stickles and Glossy Accents, embellishments from my stash. The backing paper (my most favouratist in the whole world!) is from Raspberry Road - I would like to blow this up to make a picture.
Am I the only person who feels like it's cheating to use a pre-coloured topper?
So that's all for today I hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by.

Super sweet image and a lovely card :o) Hugs, Lisa x
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty Eve! It's not cheating to use a pre-coloured topper, what you do with them makes all the difference and this is really fab.
ReplyDeleteAnd am with you on the supermarket shopping - I dread and hate it, and am so happy when it's done!
Hugs, Di xx
Awww what a sweet card Eve! Love the image and the added sparkle. The sentiment looks great too! :)

beautiful use of this wonderful topper, and I adore those background papers how fabulous, great artist and image choice and love that you have shared it with us at the Hobby House Challenge

It is not cheating to use a topper...goodness, I use all sorts of things!
ReplyDeleteYou are more likely to see a hand coloured image on my blog in the winter or early spring. By summer we are driving back and forth to the RV at the lake and I just get to busy. Art is art...takes all forms!
Hi Eve!
ReplyDeleteI thought I'd already commented, perhaps not. 'Tis a lovely card, such pretty soft colours and very clever to match the buttons to the backing paper!
Nope, I don't think it's cheating at all to use a pre-coloured topper - especially as I do it quite a bit :) And I use quite a lot of Penny Black stickeroos as well - and don't think that's cheating either. It's what you DO with the toppers and stickers, how you design the card and what else you put with them that makes or breaks a card - so never think it's not fair!!
Hugs, Di xx
Sorry Di - you're not going mad I have just changed my comment thingy so that I can see them before they appear, that way I don't miss any.
ReplyDeleteThank you for both comments!!
Eve xx
Beautiful creation Eve!
ReplyDeleteFood shoppping is a bore isn't it? Especially when I don't have a decent supermarket near by. I am loving the change to soups and casseroles though :-)
ReplyDeleteCute card. I wouldn't have know that was a pre-coloured topper until you said. I think the touches of gloss and glitter really make it something special.

This is a fantastic card, Eve! I know what you mean about the precolored images, just seems not right somehow, but then I think, well, heck I use stickers sometimes and they are as precolored as you can get, so mostly I think it's all good. We are making art, that's what counts, and usually our cards are sent on to people, which spreads happiness and doesn't that count most of all?!! Darnell
ReplyDeleteHi Eve, ooh that toffee sauce sounds delish. I admit though - I am a bit scared of making caramel like that. I have a feeling I would burn the whole lot!
ReplyDeleteGonna try and make a choc chip sponge, in my slow cooker today - so keep an eye out for that.
Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Eve, thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog, I really appreciate it. I use air dry clay in my moulds or Spongi which is similar but not as heavy and in answer to your other question yes yes yes Copics are far superior (in my opinion) to promarkers. They blend so much easier and the colours are much more vibrant. Hope you'll pop by and visit again.
