Good evening!
Todays card is made with a Penny Black stamp:
Being the ever critical I think that perhaps the black frame is too dark 😣
I used:
Penny Black 'Basket of chicks' stamp 2866J
Promarkers
Penny Black 'Beau Jardin' papers
SU lots of labels dies, dots and punch for sentiment
Clearly Besotted sentiment
I bravely machine stitched around the edges (which is a bit wonky and a bit loopy underneath so after asking Mr Google I need to adjust my bobbin tension - somehow!!)
Challenges:
I love promarkers challenge-554.anything goes love/romance
as you like it challenge. favourite-monochrome-or-colourful- I would definitely choose colourful because I think monochrome is a bit boring!! Colourful cards are more cheerful I think!
we love stamping March-challenge. feminine
Pixies snippets playground challenge-475. use snippets - here are the snippets that I used:
Adorable cure card and fabulous colouring on your cat..

Hi Eve
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo!!! Stitching on your cards!!! It looks lovely .. .. even if it is looping underneath!
Have you sorted your tension out now?
Perhaps this little video here might help if not

This chappie puts different coloured cotton on the top of his machine to what is in his shuttle and that identifies whether it is the upper thread tension that is the problem or the shuttle thread tension.
Hope it helps you get to the bottom of things.
Your card is lovely though Eve and I love your paper choices.
Hope all is good with you.
Love Jules xx
This is just so delightful. Love that PB stamp and the papers. Thank you for sharing with us at Allsorts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight to see your name pop up Eve! And with such a gorgeous card as well. Penny Black images are timeless aren't they. I like the black borders on the image and sentiment. With a mix of coloured papers they provide a nice division between pattered and the image and sentiment. Perhaps charcoal grey would work - but I certainly don't possess any charcoal grey papers! Good luck with adjusting the bobbin tension on your sewing machine - do come back to play again, once you recover!

Oh, goodness, this is absolutely adorable! I love all the Penny Black critters -- especially partial to the cats and dogs -- and this one for Easter is darling! Your paper is a wonderful combo and very cheerful. Thank you for sharing with us at Double D!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, and it seems to me that the black mats make the image and the sentiment pop well!
