Peggy and friends

Hello everyone.

I hope that you have had a lovely Christmas - time with friends and family, eaten too much, drank too much and slobbed!!

It seemed really weird not making a Christmas card today! The thing is I felt that I could have carried on making them, I didn't even use all of my new Christmas stamps. They will have to wait until next year now!

So on to today's share:

Items used:
The Hobby House 'Peggy and Friends' pre coloured topper, Tonic papers, Glossy Accents, Glamour Dust, Fiskars border punch, flowers from Dies to Die for, Pink Petticoat sentiment, SU punches, acrylic domes.

I have eased myself in gently with a pre coloured topper! The star fish and shells were bought at Tavistock market but I think that the starfish was actually from the bottom of the ocean as it smells whiffy!!

I would like to wish you good health and happiness for 2014 and thank you to anyone who has left me a comment this year - it makes it all worth while!  TTFN.

Rosy cheeks Rosie!

Good morning all.

Well the weather here is absolutely awful :(

Are you fed up with Christmas cards yet and have you finished them?

I think that I have finished but I still have to write a few - how disorganised is that!!

We did the BIG food shop yesterday and the presents are wrapped.  I am ashamed to say that there has been many a year where I have been wrapping on Christmas Eve!!  Each year I say to myself that I will start earlier this year but.......!

Anyway on to today's card:

This is Winter Rosie from DigiStamp Boutique coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are from Lili of the Valley and I have added Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

I didn't add a sentiment as I didn't think that there was enough room and also the background paper said it all!

Amber Rose Star Dance

Hi there.

The weather here in Devon has turned very nasty this evening and I think that the next few days are going to be the same :(

My youngest son has now finished school for Christmas after completing his mock exams- Yay!

I have to work one more day and that's me done. So the countdown begins..........

Here is my share for today:

I used Penny Black 'Star Dance' heat embossed with WOW! Amber Rose embossing glitter. The sentiment is DigiStamp Boutique and I dry embossed some gold card.

Not sure if I'm 100% happy with this card as I think that it looks a bit garish.

Sweet gingerbread house

Good evening all.

Here is a card that I made using DigiStamp Boutique 'Sweet gingerbread house' image:

 

 

The image was already coloured so that was nice and easy! I just added some decoupage layers, Wink of Stella pen, Stickles and Ranger Rock Candy- this could be my new Glossy Accents addiction!!. The papers were a freebie with a magazine.

Three French Hens

Hi there all,

hope you are well and Christmas stress free!

I have made a card for the Less Is More challenge which is 'One layer card' 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' but being the Dumbo that I am I didn't think about the ONE LAYER part and made this:

As you can see I paper pieced the image therefore it is not ONE layer -DOH!
So then I made this card:

I even refrained from using Glossy Accents for fear of breaking any rules ( you do not realise how hard this was - I LOVE Glossy Accents!! )

Items used:
Penny Black 'Coop Party!', 1st card sentiment is computer generated, 2nd card sentiment from SU 'For the Birds' set and ProMarkers.

So I have decided to enter the first card into Passion for ProMarkers challenge ( include a sentiment ) and Papertake Weekly challenge ( Christmas Creatures ).
The second card is for Less Is More challenge.

Next time I will read the rules more carefully!

Fabulous Fashion

Good evening all.

Here is a card that I have made for my Sister in Laws birthday:

The picture doesn't show the acetate or lot's of layers!

Items used:

Katy Sue Designs 'Fabulous Fashion' cd rom, computer sentiment, acetate and silicone gel. That's a short list!!

 

 

I bought this cd at the last craft show (Exeter)  but have only just got around to using it. I quite enjoyed deco paging up the layers after I cut them out - therapeutic!  

Hope that your Christmas preparations are going O.K and you are not too frazzled!! Now that my boys are older it's not as exciting :(

Sparkly Star Dance

Good evening all and Happy Saturday to you!

I have had a lovely play today and stamped and embossed lots of variations of this card:

I used:
Penny Black 'Star Dance', WOW! Glamour Green Embossing Glitter WS40R, Josy Rose Nail Heads, Pink Petticoat sentiment and SU punches.

I now have lots of different colours of this stamp for more quick cards.
What I have learnt today......it is much easier to put embossing powder into takeaway tubs rather than try and get it all back into the pots!!

Right off to watch all the Saturday night T.V and slob out!

Stitched Sweet Blossom

Hi there.

My card today has got REAL stitching on it!!  A while ago I bought a teeny tiny sewing machine especially for my cards. It is so dinky it looks like a toy one but as I won't be making or mending anything on it I thought it would be ideal. I was quite surprised as my stitching is actually quite straight so with a bit more practise it might not look too bad.

Another gloomy day here so not a good picture I'm afraid.

Dandelion Clock Fairy

Good morning blog land!

I have a LOTV card to share with you today which I was hoping that the sun would shine on and show off the glitter but no such luck!

Looking at it now I think that maybe I should have added some flowers. I usually struggle to make a CAS card so perhaps I have finally got the hang of it!

I'm off to do the boring food shopping in a bit, I think that I might go back to being lazy and get it delivered that way I can spend more time crafting - YAY!

Well I had a lovely 'play' today and rather than wait until tomorrow I thought that I would post my second card today.......

Full of Surprises

Good morning all. I hope that you are having a lovely weekend. It is a glorious sunny day here in Devon - lovely.

Here is a card that I made yesterday:

Items used:
Clearly Besotted 'Full of Surprises', Sizzix E.F, Stampin Up 'Finishing touches' Edgelits and ink, Gell pen. I have added a few layers with decoupage.
A while ago I bought some little Stampin Up ink spots which are about the same size as Vera Color ink pads. I bought the small one to test them and they stamp brilliantly. They have such lovely names like 'Rich Razzleberry' and Pumpkin Pie' - fabulous!! They are now on my 'wish list' in the big size. Which reminds me I must get a longer piece of paper for my 'wish list' !!

I have a beef and tomato casserole cooking in my slow cooker so I can indulge in some more crafting today - Yay!!  ( Stuff the housework! )

It's a bit nippy here in Devon but sunny so that's O.K.

I have taken a picture of today's card before I added Glossy Accents to decide which one I like the best:

Because I love Glossy Accents so much I think that I prefer the after!
The stamp set that I used is very old by Dimension Fourth and I also sprinkled on some Glamour Dust ( probably a bit to much! )

Frosty Forms

Good evening lovely blog people!

It has been a busy old week for me but today I finally got some crafty time and I made this card:

 

I have only just noticed that my snow embossing folder is the wrong way around!! DOH!

 

I used Spellbinders Frosty Forms, DigiStamp Boutique sentiment and Stampendous! Shaved Ice.

 

Not sure now if I like the rough edge to the card but what's done is done!

 

So that's yet another Christmas card under my belt which makes me feel a little smug!

The return of the bad blogger!

Good afternoon all.

"Who are you" I hear you ask!!   LOL! Yes I know it has been a while since I made an appearance but I do have a good excuse.......I am a very silly billy!  Just after my last post I let my chickens out to have a run around the garden and I then stupidly moved the coop ( it measures 6 foot by 3 foot ) Oooops!  Normally I get help but thought that this time I could manage it on my own.....BIG mistake.

Anyway my back is much better now and here is my card for today:

Three more baubles!

Hello everyone.

Another nasty day here and I actually put the heating on last night!
I think that my clothes line drying days have finished for this year now it's the noisy tumble drier - which by the way drives me around the bend because it hasn't got reverse action on it so the towels roll up into a tight ball and are wet in the middle Gggrrrr!

It is very wet and windy here in Devon today so I will get the hoover out in a minute then on to crafting - bliss!
  Roast pork for tea and I have all the stuff in the fridge so I don't even have to go out!

I also used T.H  Distress ink for the clouds but I think that I was a bit heavy handed! I learnt that you should mask off the image before you ink because I got some in her hair. (but I won't tell if you don't!)
