Good morning lovely blog people. I hope the sun is shinning where ever you are!
As my last post said it is my nan's birthday and I have been racking my brains for a present. I mean what can you buy a 94 year old?!! In the past I have bought chocolates, fudge, soaps, flowers, fruit baskets etc..... but this year I had a good idea. I have made some birthday cards for her to write to her friends which will hopefully save her a few pennies:
Items used:
Stampin Up 'Mocha Morning' papers
Stampin Up stamps and punches
Some Pink Petticoat sentiments
Flowers and stitched ribbon from the Ribbon Girl
Rest of ribbon, gems, punches and buttons from stash
Hopefully she will like them and her friends will too!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and TTFN.
Challenges:
Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge 'Butterflies, Buttons and Bows' ( the last card )
Pixies Crafty Workshop 'Use Snippet's'
Hi there Eve - no wonder you're out of breath but you just squeaked into the Playground anyhow! A lovely set of cards and such a great idea too.

Great idea, beautiful cards, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your nan!
ReplyDeleteA lovely idea to give a selection of cards to your mum. I was thinking of giving my mum one of my batch bakes of cards for Christmas cards as she lives in a home but still likes to give cards out. Anyways onto your card which is very pretty. It is pleasing to see how everyone is giving a different emphasis on the 3B's. You have chosen the bow which is tied beautifully. Lessons needed please! Lol. Thank you for fluttering by ino #2. Hugs Mrs A. (butterfly challenge).

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a gift! Love how they all coordinate too!. Beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous collection of cards! You've used a lovely color palette on your cards as well. I think this is a wonderful gift idea for someone special. Your Nan can enjoy your artwork and she can share it with friends, who will think she's cool for sending them handmade cards.
