Hi there.
Here is my first attempt at machine sewing on a card:
Now all you expert sewers will notice that I have shown the reverse of the stitching (along the top and bottom of the border). This is because I used my nan's very old machine:
The tension is not quite right so it is a bit 'loopy' ! I think that I need to phone my expert sister to find out how to alter it.
I used a Tim Holtz die for the mannequin and a spellbinders die for the dress. The sewing paper I think is Papermania and the background papers were a real bargain from The Range at £1.99 called Wedding by Paper Cellar.
So I hope you like it and thanks for popping by.

ReplyDeleteLoving your sewing make .. .. that backing paper is gorgeous.
What a fabby machine too! I used to have one like that and made loads of clothes on it. It cost me £20!! Wish I had kept it and not traded it in when I bought the machine I have now (some 30 odd years ago LOL!!).
I hope you are having a good week.
Love Jules xx
