Cyber Cafe

Can you believe that I'm back with another post! This is a personal record for me 2 posts in 1 day.

Now the reason for this is because as I am 'The last minute Lady Blogger' ( a new name for me ) my card challenge for this card ends in about 9 hours. I really must get my challenge dates organised. I say this about most things in my life - Keeping ironing up to date, food shopping more regularly. I could carry on but I think you get the idea. Anyway here it is:

I'm quite pleased with how this turned out. I used a digi download for the chalkboard and background from Raspberry Road. (Just discovered this site and love it - very cheap) The cups and sentiment is from Paper Smooches stamps set - Cyber CafĂ©. You are probably bored of this next item but yes I used Glossy Accents on the cups. Yawn!

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Ta ta for now.

Challenge:

Paper Smooches  The theme is take inspiration from the picture. I used the colours for the cups.

Sun and Fun

Hi there,

today's card is stamped using Cute Companions Sun and Fun stamp set. Albert is snoozing in his deck chair!  I used distress ink to create the sky and embossing ink for the sand. I paper pieced his hat and jacket and added Glossy Accents on the bucket and spade.

l

I would like to enter him into Crafters Companion challenge where the theme is 'summer' and as usual I am leaving the time tight as it ends in about 4 hours!

I would also like to enter it into Less is More  challenge where the theme is 'Sand' ( 5 days left ).

I'll be back shortly with another card.

Ta ta for a minute!

Fun time Rosie

Good evening everyone.

I have made a card today using 'Fun time Rosie' set 2 from DigiStamp Boutique which is on offer at the moment for only £2.28 for a set of 3 images. Bargain!

Isn't she sweet!

I used Papermania sweet nothings papers with a bit of paper piecing, Promarkers and the sentiment and cotton was stamped using a free set from a magazine. Of course no card of mine would not be complete without Glossy Accents (on the sewing machine).

Hope you like it and thanks for popping by.

Happy belated birthday Jen

Hi there.

Today started off sunny but then it rained - that's because hubby and I had the day off!

I have made a card for Jen from the  Tiny Blue Butterfly   but it is very late.  Now I know that I always leave it to the last minute but I did think that Jen was on holiday in Istanbul . Therefore she would see all of her cards when she got back - she is already back!  Sorry Jen, better late than never I suppose!

I have used Stampin Up Serene Silhouettes set with their sizlits  butterfly. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.
I'm going through a brown and cream phase!

Anyway I hope you like it Jen and hope you had a fab birthday.

It's Friday tomorrow - woohoo!

Take care and ta ta for now.

Life's a bowl of cherries

Good evening dear blog people.

Hope you are all well and the weather is good.

For tonight's card I have tried something a bit different:

Firstly I made the backing paper using Whisper watercolour pens and SU Tart and Tangy stamps. Then I stamped the bowl of cherries using SU Cherish Friendship set and coloured with the Whisper pens. l then added my favourite Glossy Accents. The Tilda is Baking Tilda with wooden spoon also coloured with  the Whisper pens. Lastly the sentiment is Hero Arts What's Cooking. Phew what a long list!

The cherry bowl reminds me of a past hobby of mine - salt dough. I used to love the moulding process it was very therapeutic! Here's one of my cherry basket's:

I think this is why I love Glossy Accents so much, it reminds me of the varnish effect.

I used to sell at craft fayre's and one day would love to take it up again but a craft room is needed as it takes up a lot of room and the 'putting everything away' is not fun!

Anyway I think that's enough babbling or else you might nod off!

Clearly Besotted challenge

Good evening blog people!

I hope you are all well and have had a fab weekend.

Tonight's card is for Clearly Besotted's first challenge and the theme is 'Anything goes'.

This is my second attempt at a card for this challenge as the first one ended up in the bin!

I used a different embossing folder and didn't like it as it looked too distressed - I CAN'T do distressed no matter how I try. But now at least I realise this and will NOT attempt it again!

I had better get my skates on as there is not much time left for this challenge - I have left it to the last minute yet again.

Happy Bithday Oliver

Good evening  all,

It was my youngest sons birthday yesterday and he is now 15. I can't believe that this time next year he will be leaving school! Time does certainly fly........sob, sob!

Here is the birthday card that I made for him:

Like any 15 year old he loves his Xbox so  I copied the image from the Internet and cut around a folded piece of card then added the buttons. Topped off with Glossy Accents.

We went to the cinema after school yesterday to watch After Earth it was very good.

When it's someone's birthday in our house they get to choose what to have for tea so Oliver chose Steak and Ale pie with fudge tart for pudding:

The diet has to go out of the window for this one!  Naughty but very nice!

So that's it for me today hope to pop back soon with a card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ta ta for now.

If anyone wants the recipe for fudge tart I can post it on my next one.

Nature's wishes

Good evening all you lovely bloggers!

For today's card I have used Penny Blacks Nature's wishes set. Now the truth is that I was supposed to enter it into a previous sketch challenge but I was too late ( normal for me ). So I have saved it until today where I can use it in  Cupcake Craft challenge . The theme is 'June bug' ladybirds, ants, beetles etc. ( 2 days left ).

I used distress ink in the background, a gelly roll pen to highlight and a touch of glossy accents on the ladybirds.

So that's it for today - work tomorrow :(
Hope to pop back soon. Hope you have had a fab day.

Good evening lovely blog people!

I have used my skipping Tilda (Tilda Girlang) again today. The papers were free with an old magazine.

For the flowers I used some of these lovelies delivered today from the Ribbon Girl:

I was lucky enough to win a voucher for The Ribbon Girl but I added a few extra items with my own money - well it would have been rude not to ( that's what I told hubby! )

Also inspired by Jules' blog I just wanted to share a couple of pictures that I took in the garden today:
